The best Moab window — March through mid-May. Wildflowers, mild temperatures, moderate crowds.
Sunrise-only for portraits (highs regularly clear 100°F). Beautiful, but requires early call times.
Second-best window — cottonwoods along the Colorado turn gold through October and early November.

Do we need a permit for a ceremony in Arches or Canyonlands?
Yes — the NPS requires a Special Use Permit for any ceremony, typically applied for 60+ days ahead. We can advise on sites and process.
How long is the drive from Salt Lake to Moab?
About 3.5–4 hours. Most couples fly into SLC and drive down; a small regional airport (CNY) also serves Moab directly.
What's the best overlook for a sunrise elopement?
Dead Horse Point in spring, Grandview Point at Canyonlands in fall — both permitted and both unforgettable.
